Petrol in Riyadh

Petrol in Riyadh is cheap - it costs 60 Halala (0.6 SAR) for Grade 95 and only 44 Halala for Grade 91. Strange though there's no RON98 or 97. For a full tank (40 liter) it cost us 24 SAR, or about RM24.

Today's Special

On Sunday Marcelo took us to a restaurant in Compound Romaiza, Riyadh. This is just one of the compounds out of the many in Riyadh where many foreigners reside. We all stay in Al-Hamra compound, the site of the 2003 Terrorist car bombing attack.

Had good time chatting and laughing - the guys got their drink fixes.

Good bye Gothenburg!

The last 4 months have been really fruitful, met some wonderful colleagues and friends. Definitely a very memorable 4 months in my life!

Gothenburg Fets (Gothenburg Kultur Kala) 13th-18th August 2008

For some reasons, I have the habit of being around when the annual Gothenburg fest is held. I was here during 2004, 2007 and 2008. ;) The week-long festival feature concerts, out-door discos, food fest and end with a colourful and cultural-diverse parade.

We had a makan session with Kim, Adrian, Shyun and Yi Ling at my place - on the menu are Char Been Hoon (courtesy of Kim), curry chicken (courtesy of Aiden) and dessert is green pea soup (courtesy of Kim!) Yummy!
